    Default Bike advice

    Any cyclists?

Looking to buy a new bike.
Been looking at hybrids. I greatly dislike road bikes your
Kinda thrown over the bars. Id be looking for a bike i could do good distance on including a few over 100km.
But also a good day to day bike.
Plus front and back carriers ideal (for dog)
Im 5ft 10 so am i better with a mens bike?

    Any advice be great

Ive also had a few bikes nicked over the years but cycle to pub shit happens so be looking budget wise under 300

    I cant have nice things

Hybrids are grand for flying around the city hopping up and down curbs when needed but you don't want a carrier on them coz the dog will be hopped out all the time.
If you want to do 100kms then you have to get a road bike. Designed to make you lean forward for aerodynamics and shtuff. simple.

But any bike under 300 is not worth a dam. They be to heavy and you have to pedal like fuck to make them move.
If you can get someone to do the cycle to work scheme for ya. You get a bike worth a grand for about 600. Well worth it.

But don't leave the thing outta sight coz it will get robbed.
Wanna go buy a bike with me

    I'll swallow

    Maybe

.why do girls bike have a dip in them also

I've used a road bike all I kept thinking is I'm going be visiting a dentist after I smash my face couldn't get Comfortable

And sure more work fitter I get

I will have a special basket for my cargo but my cycling wiIl be mostly from Dublin city center up the mountains up to malaise etc so a commuter bike would do me

The ring of kerry cycle on my do list this year big time
Id like to enjoy the views a road bike I'd just be busy thinking I'm going die on this

At my height should be I'd be looking more at mens bike?

I'd a great bike in collage got in the garda station in roxoboro they use sell them to students one found etc think I paid 50e savage bike use to be up and down the cratloe mountains picking mushrooms 😁😁😁

Then I cycled to the garage at 5am off my nut to buy Buckfast and buckled it.
    Bit the Buckfast was OK

Also had two garda follow me home once telling me to not cycle while drunk never got why they couldn't give me a lift instead of following me and giving out when I'd get back on..🙄

Lucky I'm older wiser I don't go cyclin around cities for Buckie at 5am anymore
Most likely due to suffering hangovers now

Get one of these for the dog. Not ideal in the city maybe, but great for a country cycle.
My wife caught me wearing ladies underwear and threatened to leave me.
So I packed up all her clothes
    And left.

You're a big girl but don't know if a mans bike is the answer. Certainly you will need a strong bike, make sure the shop knows the amount and type of cycling that you intend to do.
The idea of the dip in a ladies bike was to save the ladies from flashing their knickers.
