I remember at night time they would play the same songs on a loop (after about an hour repeat). I remember being with an ex in the car near her home and when you heard the same songs again you knew it was near time to pull your jeans up. Ah those were the days !!

Atlantic 252 was a joint venture between RTE and Radio Luxembourg, on long wave, targeting the western half of Britain. It broadcast using a tall mast somewhere in Meath , I believe.
After its demise, RTE used the 252 LW frequency to broadcast RTE Radio 1,until they finally pulled the plug on that service a few years ago-much to the chagrin of some older Irish people in Britain.

    Shalom/salaam.
10,000 years of Middle Eastern civilisation and the place is not at peace but rather in pieces.
