So it looks as if the UK 🇬🇧 is really going for a comprehensive cutting of ties with the EU. I recently read that a significant number of London based escorts are Romanian 🇷🇴 . It seems that they will have UK residency problems once Brexit becomes reality. I wonder will even a proportion of them turn their sights on Ireland 🇮🇪? Will the Irish market be able to cope if these escorts cross the Irish Sea? I'm willing to do my part but I'm not sure I'll be able to accommodate them all. Fierce worried 😩.

The law does not go backwards.

For all the EU citizens who have got resident status in the UK, that has to be respected.
I believe after one year of living in the UK, every EU citizen gains the UK residency automatically, without having applied for it.
I cannot see UK asking its legal residents to leave after the Brexit.

And still even so, we are talking here 2019, maybe, if done quickly.

Nothing will happen in May 2017.
Just the official proceedings and negotiations will start.
