I agree with you that it is inequality that is at the core of this as generated by banks, not immigrants. I see you highlighted Ukraine, I always thought that western intervention in Ukraine was plain stupid, Russia was NEVER going to let its deep water port go no ifs buts or ands here so we were stupid to do it but equally now just abandoning them is not on . Odessa will be next as it is also a key strategic port for Russia

As to your somewhat fatalistic belief on the outcomes, I for one will not be going with that flow, in your studies you will no doubt see the roots of Hitler were a determined few and too many doing nothing next thing you know we are at Auschwitz, not sure if we are headed there, I for one will be happy to challenge even the slightest hint of it everywhere I can , no apologies for that. I am surprised you do not see the similarities between Trumps campaign and 32

That is the way the western world is going. People are blaming immigrants for everything. It was the banks FFS that put us in the shit not immigrants!

Britain always seems like the odd man out in history. Notwithstanding there divide and conquer attitude. When all of Europe has gone hard right who is going to judge but history.
It's ok, he has the banks covered too. Three former Goldman Sachs execs in his cabinet...

And we can only wait and see what sort of right wing nutcase he puts into the empty seat on the supreme court...

Trump's terrible transition will lead to a failing presidency. Sad

With Trumpski in the Whitehouse giving a carte blanche to this kind of thinking, the eastern European states, particularly those with large Russian populations, have a right to be worried about their security.
Particularly as he is on the record, for whatever value that holds, as not particularly caring about the plight of the Ukraine et al.

I think the language used is disappointing but a reflection on western society's mistrust of ethnic groups. This is nothing new as I'm sure you know.
Nikita Khrushchev, a Ukrainian, passed Crimea over to the Ukrainian soviet socialist republic as a reward for their sacrifice during WW2. It was kind of immaterial then as Russia and Ukraine were in the same country. Of course Stalin had purged Crimea of its original occupants, the Tartars.

I don't think it is too early to judge Trump. He will take credit for other people's positive decisions and blame every one else for the mistakes. His petulant digs at anyone who criticises him, his arrogance and hubris, his lies, crookedness make it clear that he will be the worst and most divisive President in US history. He should not be given a chance, he must be opposed and held to account from the minute he takes the pledge.

And given that they pay no tax and contribute very little to the economy except wages, no big loss in the scheme of things. But would I like them to stay? Absolutely. Something is better then nothing especially if you have a job with them.

I'm not being smart with you Kate, maybe I need to read your comment more carefully.
He may be a bit of an unknown quantity, but from what I have heard there are things we can pull together on his character. Such as untrustworthy, manipulative and sly. He has had a golf course made in Scotland and people lost their homes on a promise that the golf course would bring in much needed work into the area and the area would become a holiday spot for people using the club. Once the golf course had been agreed to and people lost their homes he decided that he was going to have the course for personal use only and not open it to the public. This is typical Trump.

People that were working on this golf course were not paid in full for their work. Trump decided he didn't want to pay the agreed price and gave them what he thought he could get away with. When this was brought up in one of the televised debates, he said that he probably wasn't happy with the quality of the work that was done. This means that not only was the person not paid for the work that they did, but he attempted to ruin their reputation too, just to save his own back and reputation.

He is a man that has an answer for everything and doesn't have the word 'sorry' in his vocabulary. He is impulsive and a man who respects himself far more than anyone else.

I don't know what happened in America to only have these two candidates, as they were never going to have a winner, but I'm afraid it is hard to support someone you don't respect and I have no respect for him.
