But if you are deciding whether your economy has room to absorb immigrants then economic activity is what you want to look at. Your points about revisions and trade deficits are valid in theory, but in practice the effects are much smaller than the difference between Ireland's GDP and those of the US and Australia. Don't know how may ways I can spell it out. The government could not do what you want even if they wanted to. There are rules and they have to keep to them they can't unilaterally just change the EU immigration rules on their own.

97% of immigrants here are EU citizens I gave you a link to the rules governing it thats what the government has to follow.

And anyone entering the country Today will have to work for 2 years to be able to claim social welfare here.

Whats this but nonsense.What i have said and for the last time is i have given an opinion,my own personal opinion as i see it,which may be right ,wrong and somewhere in the middle but its my opion nontheless.this doesnt make a me a racist.
