It's not illegal once you tell the hotel that an extra person will be staying in the room. Also she has to be over 18, not drunk or stoned, and the sexual services must not include live warm blooded animals.

However, it is immoral, illicit, and you will roast in hell for ever.

In Ireland this is currently correct. However it is not quite the same if the place you meet them in is being used by someone else as well. At this point you are still not doing anything wrong (legally) However the girls would be classed as at a brothel and they are not legal. If you are there during a raid you may have your hands wrapped. Just don't give them any information that you don't want them to know if you can help it.

I personally would not go out to a hotel to see a total stranger unless they were able to make me feel confident they were genuine, so also consider this if you are thinking of going down that route.

Most hotels rates these days are per room not per person and I've never ever had a problem. Some hotels are more obliging than others. They will never question a additional guest and most certainly will not imply that your guest is a working girl.
