I had about 20 people in my short list and now it's empty. Did something happen?

He means the shortlist feature (double press the thumbnails to add to shortlist)

The shortlist is only a temporary selection tool, the escorts you place in shortlist will remain there until you clear your browsers local storage (http://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_webstorage.asp) - if you want a more permanent selection tool you should add them to your favourites.
