When an "appointment" is not an appointment?

I'm being ludicrously told by EI moderators that I can't post a bad review of an escort because the lady in question has "the right to choose who she sees" - even though she made a definite verbal appointment with me for 4pm on Saturday. I even texted a confirmation that I'd definitely be going the day to remind her. Needless to say she didn't respond to multiple phones calls/texts & and IM on the day.

Now Escort Ireland won't post my bad review because SHE told them she didn't make an appointment. She's effectively preventing my review because I can't "prove" we made an appointment! Isn't every appointment just a verbal appointment over the phone. Do we now have to get it in writing beforehand. Ridiculous!

If escorts are being unprofessional and throwing out their agreed appointments with clients because it might not suit their schedule (and capacity to make more money) on the day - what is Escort Ireland going along with this?

It kind of invalidates the whole point of the reviews section - which I though was to warn other punters of the escorts who can't be relied on to keep their word

I'm not defending the person that you made the booking with, but for me it is not a firm booking until confirmation has been made the next day by both parties. The fact that she did not respond to your confirmation means that the booking has collapsed at this point. At this point as a client I would have started looking elsewhere.

Thank you for bringing this up, but what my colleagues initially replied to you stands on this occasion.

1. As an independent advertiser an escort has the right to choose the customers she sees on the day.
2. She probably has got many people enquiring in advance but not all of them call to confirm on the given day, our advertisers anticipate that when they plan. This is why they ask you always to confirm on the day.
3. The appointment has not been confirmed according to how we see it.
4. You need to have a firm booking in order to leave a review, not just an estimation of a time on a forthcoming day.
5. If you are so upset about not having met this advertiser, why don't you try to contact her again and try to arrange another meeting instead of insisting on leaving her a bad review?
