The way I look at it, there were always raids and things just continue as normal. There is so much escorting activity going on, and not all of it on EI, that it is impossible for the authorities to have much impact on curbing it, much less stopping it altogether.

As a customer, I think you are more likely to be struck by lightning than to be caught up in a raid. And generally if you are, authorities are more interested in scaring you off, than taking any legal action (probably because there is little legal action they can take).

As for escorts, usually they just move and set up somewhere else. Some escorts unfortunately have suffered badly as a result. In many cases where they took the homely advice of the guards to co-operate with them instead of getting proper legal advice from a lawyer.

A lot of this (if not all) anti-escorting activities from the authorities and the press is “behaviour shaming” which is a close relative of “body shaming” which should not be acceptable, let alone endorsed by any future law.
