I though the new laws here and proposed down there was supposed to help people trafficked? The hell kind of message does this send.

If Ruhama got the 5000 and kept it then shame on them thieves.

There is still time to save yourselves Rhuama and help these ladies whose money was taken from them.

Pay the medical care and go find out what education the ladies want and pay it out of their money that the ladies earned.

Do not take expenses out of it give them back all their money.
The ladies may not need educational help. Things are very bad in Romania at the moment and the basic wage is not enough to live on, so even people that are well educated are struggling, let a lone young women with little workplace experience. The only thing that could really help them is for Romania to lift out of it's financial situation and be able to pay their people a better wage more in line with their ability and experience. Ireland is never going to put the money earned in Ireland into the Romanian economy.

Ruhama will never help them as they are not versatile enough to have anything to offer past temporary housing and a massage.

Which is why I question the fine. Why fine them if they don't believe they were working of their own free will? They are contradicting themselves by doing so.

Sad truth is Sarah Benson does not want to really care and as CEO of Ruhama, its only a front as she has a cushy number here and on a great salary paid by us the tax payers .
Where did the 100's of millions that the Good Shepherd Sisters and the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity got who had involvement with Ruhama too go to that we the tax payer have to fund these shower. Its so wrong.
We the tax payer paying for all this and the orders who run this group and others were found to be anything but supportive.
Its just sickening and the ones that really need help dont get it .

courts do it all the time, although they seem to have very strong evidence that the girls were trafficked, they cant overlook the girls pleas that they were working for themselves also so they didn't cooperate, I believe they got off lightly here based on what I saw before. The law(s) is a very strange thing and always surprises me.

Money is not returned to them in these cases and based on evidence given by them despite what may be reported, its proceeds of a crime and you are not rewarded for that.

    Thank God.
At least any potential secretaries won't be out of pocket.
