Thread: OMG I just hit a dog

  1. #1

Default OMG I just hit a dog

Was driving into town when this dog ran out in front of me. I braked but still heard this thud and a big yelp and then it went lolloping off
I parked and looked for it but couldn't find it.

I am a bit shook up as I have a dog myself

I don't necessarily agree with ketchup. Were you driving too fast? If it were a child that ran out, could you have stopped?
On the other hand, some people just open their doors in the morning and allow their dogs out for a run.
My wife caught me wearing ladies underwear and threatened to leave me.
So I packed up all her clothes
    And left.

When I lived in wexford the hedgehogs had wanted posters out for me.... And rats. I miss that jeep had all my kills painted on it like a fighter plane

If I hit a dog whilst driving, then I would report it to the police/garda.
Hitting a dog has to be reported by law, but if you hit a cat, it doesn't need to be.

I hit a dog on my bike years ago who came out of a hedge after a rabbit and straight across the road in front of me, and flew into a ditch and hit my head of a concrete post, buckled the front wheel badly, I was told later I could have sued for thousands
