I guess depending on the lady and her interaction with the website it could happen, though it has not happened to me yet. If you call out of the blue looking for an appointment, I expect the lady could look for references.
I usually PM to book, that way the lady knows who I am and can check reviews who I have seen before. In the cases where the chosen lady does not use PM's I have yet to be asked for a reference.

I have known a couple of girls who only worked by references, one of those girls was in the top 10 of reviewed girls, it never hampered her business. If the new law is passed, then you guys may find yourself getting asked for references more often.
