Emm the red light is not that bad.
The girls i seen there where very attractive.
Young, In there 20's, beautiful romanin ladies.
There is loads of good brothels also away from all the limelight.
If peeps are going to try the red light do it during the day as its mad at night.
I always stay in a hotel/hostel located in the red light district and the staff are fantastic.
St. Christopher's at The Winston.
The article is right about the dealers, they run about shouting.

The article doesn't mention at all that girls were not attractive, in fact it was quite complementary about their looks, except maybe the "harsher" look when away from the flattering crimson lights.
The things mentioned that are a lot more interesting to read would be: 50 Euro for 10 minutes, doubling at weekends. Or the second experience, 50 for a blow job. All covered. Girls didn't even removed their clothes.

A harsher look means not attractive.
The girls do remove there clothes, I have been there numerous times so i know.
Look i know your a escort and everything but please dont try to tell me about the red light district because you read a article on it from a hack journalist.
And please show respect for ladies in the same profession as yourself.
Thank you.

"Show respect"? Are you blind, have you seen anywhere me saying something disrespectful?
You're the one that shows none by saying this like somehow you're above me
It's an article that's public. I take it you may have a different opinion but if you wanted to debate this like adults, you could have just shared your experience without pretending to know it all a lot better, or simply give the link of another article that praises the place.
But than again, maybe I'm expecting too much from this site.
P.S. A harsher look does not always mean not attractive. In the context of the article just means a little less attractive than initially thought. And you're the one that actually commented on their looks to begin with, anybody knows that beauty can be subjective in most situations.

Emm there is no need to be rude, I am not blind and have perfect vision thank you. And don’t turn this around on me Amy. Yes the article is public as you said but you Amy choose to post it on this site.
You are one to talk about respect and debating like a adult asking people if they are blind cause they have a different view than you.
Like I said I have been there numerous times and will continue to go there so I know a bit about what goes on there you see. Its nothing to do with thinking I am above you.
And I did give a link, a video link in fact, It was in the post you quoted no less.
1st of you created a thread which was titled “Appreciate what you have …”
And then you said in your opening post “For all of you needing a reminder how good you had it here in Ireland” As if the red light is a poor comparison to escorts back home.
Then you went on in your 2nd post to turn it into a price thread as if every lady working in the Red Light was charging the same rates. Which was strange as you have give off and frowned on price thread’s about escorts on EI in the past.
3rdly you went on to claim that they don’t even remove there clothes based on this article, Emmm there naked in most of the pics bar a skimpy thong and bra so how much more naked do you need them to be amy.
If you watch the video I posted you will find out that not all sex workers in the red light charge the same price.
Yes I did comment on there looks as you have pointed out I said “they where very young and attractive” Where as you posted a article which described them as being harsh.
Here is what harsh means as you seem to be confused about its meaning.
Harsh
comparative adjective: harsher
1. unpleasantly rough or jarring to the senses.
"drenched in a harsh white neon light"

Thanks for your opinions guys !
Excepting someone's attitude who seems to try it hard to change this into a fight, calling me out for saying I have no respect when all I do was cite public information it's seems the opinions are indeed divided, which is interesting.
We are all different and as expected we have different needs. Some guys are a lot more into the thrill of being able to chose directly what they like, some guys like a more relaxed and personal approach etc.
The Red Light Districts, no denying, holds a great degree of fascination over any country that has none and Ireland is no exception. Heck, I would go visit the place myself, just to see what is all about (if you donate for the trip ).
There are other articles, more officials that seem to support the point made in the first article, at least the experience with "Selina from Pussyland". Like the more official Amsterdam advisory site:
http://www.amsterdam-advisor.com/ams...ostitutes.html
This more official article points out:
"Window prostitution in the Red Light District is more for simple, inexpensive quickies. If you have special wishes, be prepared to pay serious money for it, or take your business elsewhere."
This declaration is supported by the idea that escorting (the non-window like) is very popular in Amsterdam too and of course more expensive. If the red light district was widely covering all type of needs that a client may have, including total anonymity, escorting would have been a dead business, which is not the case.
What I like in countries like Netherlands, it's the way the choice is given to clients. You got a 50 in your pocket and lots of enthousiasm? Plenty of choices. You want full girlfriend experience and spending hours in a woman's company (including non sexual bits), plenty of choices. Those choices are easy to identify. Unlike Ireland, where if it wasn't for a review system (as flawed as it may be), the chance of finding a successful encounter for people with more diversified needs would be totally left to chance.
I still stand to what I said in my opening post here tho "appreciate what you have". Being an escort in Ireland for quite a few years, in my experience, the big majority of clients start with simpler needs and than evolve into seeking more. I'm not a moral authority to comment if that's good or bad, it's simply what it is. But with the review systems and forums, there is an increased chance of finding perfect encounters without spending an arm and a leg. Even the girls charging Red District prices here in Ireland, would normally offer a shower and a more diversified type of appointment.
And while the whole debate was supposed to be about Amsterdam, the hidden idea and the closing conclusion was indeed all about Ireland. Escorts here need to advertise. Need to take expensive photos and refresh them often. Need to work most of the time without any security nearby, at the mercy of people living nearby not to report their location. They very often have quiet days because unlike window work, they can't show themselves to the world. They sometimes need to build up an additional strong online persona, just to ensure they are memorable and have their unique selling point.
Anyhow, QED - appreciate what you have

I have punted in several countries , and imo ireland is the best for discreet non rushed experience , although Thailand massage parlours are close
