Níl aon tóin tinn mar do thóin tinn féin - Wiktionary
There's no sore arse like your own sore arse
Fair play to you Forrest.
I learned that one years ago in primary school, but forgot how to spell it. The translation we were given was "There's no backside like your own backside". There was no mention of "sore arses" as it was'nt a religiously run school.
I hadnt heard of that saying and was intrigued as to what it meant.
Wiktionary could be wrong.
It's a smartarse take on the seanfocal "There's no fireside like your own fireside". Dont ask me to spell it, but they're very similar in Irish.
