The death of humour

I feel the cold, deathly touch of over zealous moderation.
I am currently looking over my shoulder trying to visualise the cold chill running down my spine.
Does the above qualify as humour or does it sound the deathknell of humour.
But always remember, no expects the Spanish Inquisition . (unless you are a Monty Python fan).

The micromanagement is getting a bit much. And lopsided.
