In life every person comes to the point when he realizes that out of all the seemingly limited possibility of his youth he has in fact become one actuality. No longer is his life a broad plain with forests and mountains beckoning all around, but it becomes apparent that one's journey across the meadows has indeed followed a regular path........We have come up against the problems of Necessity and Freedom, of the irrevocability of our actions, of the directedness of our life.

    Very true.
And eventually one becomes afraid to wander off the path.
Enter the forests, you might get lost.
Climb the mountains, you might fall off.
Eventually the path becomes funnel shaped, hemming you in, with no side roads but just leading you to the inevitable conclusion.
    Last stop. Get off. R. I. P.

    Shalom/salaam.
10,000 years of Middle Eastern civilisation and the place is not at peace but rather in pieces.
