you need to distract your mind. Put on a favourite film, or go for a walk, or prepare a meal
Anything to stop the negative thinking and give your mind a rest from the negative thoughts.
Exercise is a good feel good endorphins habit to develop
you are not alone and perhaps talk to a good friend or even find a councillor
such feelings are all too common and its nothing to be afraid of or ashamed of.

Like what spunki said exercise helps a lot even just going for a walk helps. If I'm feeling down sometimes I like to put on some music and have a wee drink by myself but in the end you need to address the thing that's making you feel down,you seem nice best of luck.
