Maybe someone clever could devise a bitcoin-based deposit system coupled with the review-based system that is already here and which is at least partly successful.
I have taken deposits with advanced bookings and those that have been good clients and then wasted my time. There has been a lot of controversy on here with reference to deposits and many don't like the idea of doing it. It's easier enough with phone credit without creating a paper trail. Bitcoin hasn't really been embraced with this industry. I guess it's something to do with the fluctuating rates and it's not the simplest of methods of payment.

In truth I think I've had it quite easy compared to a lot of others, but that's because I don't work as much as others or tour any more. I found my comfort zone and stuck to it. It's just more an annoyance for me, but for some it could be the difference between paying for their hotel room or not and having to sleep in the car. It's tougher than you think for some.

Maybe I will take work up on the offer of a transfer to one of the English or Scottish locations sooner rather than later..... but then there'd be too many English or Scottish people to contend with
    I voted green party

Maybe depends on the country too since bitcoin is something being used by some in the states, and using encrypted messenger services to keep LE at bay. As for ease, there's services that you can pay someone in bit coin from a credit card and it does all the work for you, but unless you take them into your own wallet, then 'clean' them through a couple of services they're still tied to you and not truly anonymous at all. For real anonymity you pretty much need a new wallet for every transaction since the whole block chain is visible.

I ask for deposits off guys who have wasted my time before, I won't give a timewaster a 2nd chance without part payment up front. I have given timewasters 2nd chances in the past only to have them waste my time again. I find asking for deposits a very effective method to stop them wasting my time further.

As for the PSNI to keep numbers, it's not going to happen. The PSNI have enough crime to test their resources as it is. I suspect that there would be a public outcry if they used the public purse & their manpower to create such a database.

I wasn't being serious Sandy, it was just me seeing what reaction it would get.

I only accept bookings 30 mins ahead so tw's don't waste too much of my time. The one I had earlier today tried to book me a good hour in advance and I told them that he would have to call me back. He then said he could be here in 30 mins. I think he was after my location going by the rest of the conversation. Anyway he booked an hour and was way too flexible, so I expecting him not to turn up and he didn't disappoint me.

I had another one previous to this who had decided he only wanted to pay £80. Said a story about his pay being late and he had to check it first, then calling back saying he only had £80 so would I take it. I said no and welcomed him back when he had the right money. Seriously for the sake of a tenner? For me the refusal was about respect.

I haven't taken much in the way of deposits recently, as I'm not seeing many newbies, so it's only when I'm in the mood to see someone new that I'm doing it.

This post was more about having time on my hands (Thank you Tony who ever you are) and interested to see how such a proposal would go down with the minions.

What have I got from it? I need to try and read through the whole thread before replying, as now I can see how important it is in relations to things being repeated or taken in the wrong way. I'm very guilty of not doing that.

That one is a classic when you're selling anything here. 'Ah come on I've only got £4990 for the car I promised you £5k for on the phone' No bother mate get the fuck back down that lane and don't come back.

Ah it's not quite the same. I won't see anyone who haggles, because the next move is, 'Ah come on I'm clean you can do BB with me'. It's much harder to say no when they are on top of you and pinning you down.

    It's as simple as that.

there can be many reasons a punter doesn't show, many be takes cold feet, looses courage, finds and doesn't feel comfortable in the location, entrance too visible and doesn't want to be spotted going in, meets someone who would recognise them going into. Many reasons. I have on one occasion arrived as directed to find that the property was in the main street of my local village, I had to walk on as I couldn't risk been seem going in. Sorry but it does happen!
