If someone is attacking me would it not be appropriate to defend myself I dont think someone is going to stand and discuss the different moral and social aspects of violence if there to busy attacking me.

I answered that in the previous post. If you think that hitting back is the answer then i know why our world is full of violence. I suggest you read about aikido. it is a form of defence with no hitting anyone. There are always ways.

But you know what guys? I think what you mean by "defending myself" is actually a reason to hit someone. doesn't matter man or woman. it just makes you feel better, feeds your ego... Gives you a reason to act like an animal. Very much like what is happening with the refugees in Europe. I suppose what holds you back are the laws. Woman equal rights doesn't mean man can hit them. Its not even about woman rights, its about human nature. Why would you ever hit first of all?

First off, this thing of 'no one should hit anybody' is all good and well but we don't live in fairy-tale land. It's gonna happen.

Secondly, there's a huge difference between being hit by a woman and retaliating by hitting her back, and defending yourself from an attack by a woman.

The ONLY time a man hitting a woman can be justified is in a life threatening situation, eg. being attacked by a scumbag junkie with a syringe full of blood.

With regards to women hitting men; it also can't be truly justified unless it's in self defense. However, it will always be tolerated and accepted that it will happen from time to time. Personally I think that any woman who can hit a man is just as much of a scumbag as a man who can hit a woman, maybe even more so, as she knows there will be little chance of any retaliation and I would compare it to someone hitting a person in a wheelchair, or an adult hitting a child.

You know what I don't report threads or posts (about three in three years) because this is an adult forum. And I don't want this thread deleted or locked. But I have to wounder (maybe it's because I'm tired.) About the mentality about making jokes about hitting women on an escort site with so many escorts reading.

I'm looking at this question purely from a self defence view,of course it's not alright to just hit someone.

I know what aikido is but what if someone who doesn't know any trained self defence is put in a situation where they can't run away and they have to defend themselves from someone,would it not be appropriate to hit back?

Read my post again more carefully! I guarantee this thread will be reported enough to have it closed or locked given some of the stupid comments about hitting women. At the risk of painting a bad picture of myself I have been in more scraps then I have had hot dinners. Not trying to make myself out to be a big man far from it just telling you a few embarrassing facts about me (with the hindsight of age and a bit of maturity.) I was never a great fighter but I used to be able to take a beating and pick myself up and get my lumps in. But I swear to god I have never hit a woman no matter what she has said or done. And I have gone out with some really nasty women over the years. I do live in the real world and obviously have had more experience in life then you going by your post.
