Is bringing a bottle of wine to share with a lady you've seen on many other occasions considered needy?
What has being a 'has been' got to do with it?
Old is anybody who is 15 years older than you........according to stevieB.
    It's a scientific fact...apparently.

It might also be difficult for some to acknowledge but being young does not mean you have the biggest cock, or the best skills or the most fun to be with. Youth does not bring with it guarantees and some people (thank God) improve with age. Let's hope some of the young chappies on here do
The assumption is based on life practices, young people (do a poll and see although the majority here on the forums seem to be of the older variety which is ok) are different as they don't really bother as we are gift enough while as you get older you compensate by way of a gift for the attributes you no longer possess. Just is life

I'd guess given that metric that I must appear old to the ladies I've met from here. Assuming they are truthful in their stated ages of course

I try to associate with people of a similar age to myself but it gets a little harder every year.

Ah it must be right then. I'll take my life experience and ignore it totally. Thanks for putting me right

I have actually found young people to be more likely to give a gift in some cases, as they are keen to make a good impression. They are the ones that are more likely to doubt themselves and they can also be very perceptive and more likely to give something that suits the persons personality, rather than a 'token gesture' that shows little real thought or may even be more to do with his needs than hers. (ie bottle of wine).

Of course this is just my experience so means nothing, so carry on with your well informed and researched understanding of old people, despite not being one or having much actual experience of your own. I'm sure you are right.
