I don't see how mine comes across as worse. Most people know about skin conditions and are able to see the difference. It is degrading to suggest otherwise. If me picking up on this is bad, then sorry I don't give a shit. Why do people keep talking about us like a collective? We are people first and sex workers second.
You don't ask the question... 'How do you get an engineer to understand they have to knock the door before entering' just because you may have had one person who happened to be an engineer try to get in without knocking. That would be absurd.
I'm actually surprised you think this is ok.
Still you live and learn.

I don't often disagree with you Kate, but I think you are finding insults where none were intended.
I took the original question to mean - "If an escort asks about my psoriasis, how do I explain it in a way that does not sound scary." I suspect OP knows that many escorts will know a lot about skin conditions, but some won't Anyone who thinks escorts are stupid hasn't been around here long.

I have met escort with this skin condition too but they at least can cover it up with make-up.
just chat with them before as some will be understanding
that makes no sense, how can you expect others to understand the sex worker when you really don't respect the job yourself, most think its degrading and are afraid to tell the world/friends/family they do this for a living(yourself included), its not illegal and you are doing nothing wrong yet you hide it from people as you think they will think less of you as deep down you are a little ashamed at what you do, thats why sex workers think they are second class as hide away from it all. I don't see anything wrong with it.
Eczema & psoriasis are both hereditary, non contagious skin conditions, can be associated by stress, as with all skin conditions, benefit greatly from Vitamin D, which the body gets from sunlight. I have seen many clients with eczema & psoriasis, but then again my father suffers from psoriasis & my cousin with eczema, so neither freak me out.
I would either suggest a pm first, but doesn't guarantee a reply. Phone the escort, explain your situation. If you are visiting an escort, English not being her 1st language, then maybe print off some information about your condition & take it along. She will be able to translate it online to put her mind at ease.

I can get psorasis now and then and never once had any probs with women over it. There is a real good prescription med you can get,a rub in and it works real well. I will pm you what it is next time im on here (a few days). Best cure for it is to keep clean, use a rub on when you need it and forget about it.

Actually that's not true. You hide it so you don't get kicked out of your apartment and so your family don't get picked on. I said it was degrading to suggest that all sex workers don't know a common skin complaint. For a start we see more naked people than most, so the odds that we have never come across it before are pretty slim. It might be that some ladies don't like working with people that have skin problems and that is their personal preference, but I doubt it has much to do with ignorance or lack of understanding.
For one thing if someone has a very bad case of psoriasis it leaves a hell of a mess on the sheets and if they are there short term touring, they may not have the bedding they need to replace everything after. I'm lucky that I have several big cosy blankets that I put on top of the bed, so if one gets messed up I simply change it and bung it straight in the washing machine. Not everyone can do that and have to work with the facilities they have, which may be 2 sets of bedding (things get stolen). If they washed one that day and it is airing, they are stuck with the one on the bed till it's dry.
