I realise there must be a good reason why a lot of escorts are choosing that location, but since I won't have a car with me when I visit the city at the weekend, I'm wondering how much a taxi would cost out there from the center? (approx cost).

Depends where in the city centre. I.e. D1 obviously will be cheaper.
As someone that only takes taxis, it should not be more than 20 Euro, I pay in average 15 to IFSC.
