    Exclamation One magpie

    I was out tonight but just arrived home about an hour ago i was getting ready for bed when i heard a noise in the sitting room i checked and there was 1 magpie in the fire place hes hes still here i cant get him out what will i do please

    Open wide windows and doors, perhaps not now when it's so dark and just let her go.
    Otherwise, I don't know, you can just gently put a towel over her and bring her out yourself.

    I had a jackdaw done the same thing a few years ago and when I caught the fucker it was stinking.

    not a good idea Amy as I opened the windows once to let the bugger out but he came back later with his mates and stole all my jewelry

    A magpie is easy to identify because it is the only large black and white bird on the island.
    If it wasn’t a magpie it may have been a jackdaw.

    Jackdaws build their nests by dropping sticks down a chimney until one sticks, and they build on it. Sometimes they just build until the entire chimney is blocked.
    It is a warning; if you are concerned about the house, it needs a screen over the chimney. Not only will it stop them building in the chimney it will keep them getting down into the room.
