Open wide windows and doors, perhaps not now when it's so dark and just let her go.
Otherwise, I don't know, you can just gently put a towel over her and bring her out yourself.

Amy's towel sounds worth trying - or a bed-sheet - if you feel brave enough. It will probably thrash about like crazy while you carry it outside.

If there is a door or window that leads straight to the outside that you can open, and make the rest of the room as dark as possible, it will probably find it's own way eventually.

    Whatever happens, let us know!

Hi Melinda Magpies are very smart.
A pigeon got into my apartment recently so I opened all the windows and doors and it flew out immediately.

If you have blinds in the window I would take them down and pin back the curtains or take them down.
If it is a room with no outside door I would shut the room door and wait.
Bird should be gone very quickly.
You posted a few hours ago so maybe he is gone already.

Your last post was at 3:34 so I assume you got rid of it ok & went to bed.

I had a jackdaw done the same thing a few years ago and when I caught the fucker it was stinking.

I hope you're not superstitious though Melinda.
