Agreed. Sorry I let Joe sidetrack me, but I am actually very curious about this question. If a client brings a bottle of wine is it considered rude and not a "gift" if it is opened and shared? I did see in another thread that someone mentioned sharing a bottle during visits.

There was a thread about this recently. The question is interpretation: by bringing a bottle do you expect to open it, or is it a gift?

Not always clear to the lady, who might think you want to open it and share.

But the ugly question of drinking and driving is at the core of this.

Personally I would choose a different gift.

I suppose it depends on your perspective in regards to the driving part. I'm part of a couple, and our appointments are always for 1.5-2 hours. By the time we drive away there is no wine in our system, based on having one glass.

Regardless I don't want to get sidetracked on the driving part, or whether or not wine is a good gift. My question is more specifically for those who DO bring wine as a gift. Do you open and share it?

They probably think by opening it they will get to stay longer . . . Thinking the appointment won't start till the wine is finished

Yes I know that but to be fair you are different in that respect than 99.5% of the punting population.

Agreed and your point is fair enough, but the reason I would like to continue with the question despite our specific situation and your point about driving is because I know that often clients DO bring wine. I'd like to know what is considered appropriate in those situations.

As I have stated, when we brought wine previously the escort was the one to suggest opening it, so we have just assumed that is how this works. If that is not the case we would like to know, because we don't generally like being seen as rude.

I have brought wine on several occasions, have sometimes been offered a glass but refused as I am driving. The only reason I accepted on the last occasion was that it was with my favourite lady, I was her last appointment that night and she was after having a stressful day and was happy to unwind with friendly company. I would imagine that it can be quite lonely at times for an escort and sometimes they just like to have a chat with someone they know.

We actually had a very similar experience with EmmaSweet. It was a bit of a surprise, but quite nice as well, just relaxing and chatting on the couch with a glass of wine (and some chocolates she brought over). It was a great experience and kind of made us feel like we were visiting a good friend.
