    A wee token just puts a bit of a sparkle in your eye because you're not expecting it. It's a lovely gesture.

    I have often brought small gifts to an appointment. As Irish Fiona stated, an unexpected thoughtful gift can brighten an otherwise dull day.

    I avoid wine and chocolates because I am sure the girls get lots of those.

    The sort of gifts I bring are: Strawberries and cream, a selection box (at Christmas), A packer of Randoms, an easter egg, Cream donuts and a coffee (she made me sit there and watch while she ate it), a funny mug, a wooly hat, a CD, a colouring book and pencils. None of these are expensive but they made the ladies smile.
