So, not even getting into the "what constitutes womanhood" argument, I think there is a really important point here that no one has brought up yet, which is personal security. Trans folks face a much higher threat when it comes to things like violent abuse as part of hate crimes. Declaring their "medical history" could actually pose a very real threat to their well-being, or even life. A client can be disgruntled but walking away is always an option... that is not the case for if someone becomes the target for brutal assault just because of who they are.

My god, a post on topic..

Yes, agreed Shadow, but I feel you are missing the point, as the OP was putting out the idea of a TS advertising as a female escort, which is a definite no no for me.

If someone feels they are female rather than male and feels the need to go through surgery because of it fair enough........I don't care
I also don't care if they go through life without enlightening me about their medical history.......none of my business
But if they are working in the sex industry and seeking business from clients who may view this differently its a different matter.

In my view they are NOT women ,so I do not /would not book a TS escort..............but if they are TS and do not make it clear ,they are again in my view conmen

IF the person does not inform the client that they are a post-op TS then surely if the client realised during the meeting this could cause the client to act irrationally and perhaps violently. I think it is imperative to inform the client beforehand to avoid the possibility of a blow-up. I just don't think it is right to hide this. THe purpose of the thread is not ask what constitutes a woman at all.

Transparency and mutual respect are key here in my opinion.
