I can't understand why you would question it at all to be honest. Regardless of if you had a shower in the morning or not or if you are careful to be clean when there is a time gap between cleaning and taking a booking it is surely only natural to have a shower and be fresh and squeaky clean before intimacy? It makes everything so much nicer and if you want to be devoured (which most do) then you are going to want to make the experience as good as possible for the person going down there, so they are happy to give it their all. Coming from a slightly different angle I often judge a ladies hygiene standards on if she asks me to take a shower.
Not all ladies actually ask you.
Some say oh you smell nice you don't need a shower.
If I am not asked I usually request one.
If I am not asked I refuse certain favs to her. ie.reverse oral......no thanks.

I don't ask, I insist. If someone out right refuses then I will accept a sink wash and have facecloths by the sink so it's more than a spray of water. Generally when given that option they decide to go for the shower anyway.
