Thread: non smoker/smoker

Smoking is one of those things that you pay for that is statistically proven to kill you. as a former smoker, it was certainly a draw socially to be around other smokers but the long term price to pay is not worth the short term costs

I don't think anyone is going to change anyone else's mind here on the science. Better not to fight about it.

As someone who travels a lot (and is a nonsmoker) I do have to say nothing grinds my gears more than finally getting into my hotel room just to find out the previous occupant was a smoker. Again not trying to be a dick, but honestly yes I think nonsmokers rights to be free of lung cancer are more important than smokers rights to be comfy while they smoke.

Now if such a room with an air circulation system was paid for from higher taxes on smoking products, that would be a fair compromise.
Some people just don't have to TRY, they just are.
