    Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas
    The Champ

    Most of the suggestions so far have been pretty amazing, too.

    schindler's list should get a mention. blew me away.

    and, probably not a popular film, A serbian film was excellent, subject matter removed, it was a very well made and thought out film.

    but, bleurgh.

    I was only a child when I watched 'The Champ' and my mother told me that I cried at the end when he died.
    It was a great movie.
