I have had the same thought as the OP many times, where the hour rate is more than double the half hour rate.
It sometimes seems to give the impression, '' Don't hang around too long'', which further prompts the idea of maybe don't bother going at all(where you don't know the person in question).

I think you have a very valid query. Maybe the answer is that in two half hour bookings you could spend 20 mins dressing, undressing, and showering. etc
