If you look at our anatomy and physiology we're omnivores.

I would have liked to hear from Zealot 7, who advocated the Palaeolithic diet.

I know the Inuits and Maasai people are fairly carnivorous and do relatively okay.

Me, I use epithalon, a 4 amino peptide that was researched in Russia, shown to increase the lifespan of Drosophila, mice and monkeys. Putin uses it. I'm going to live till 120 at least.

It increases the length of my telomeres.

Most haven't heard of it yet, but some day you will.

It's not quantity that matters, it's quality.

I didn't climb to the top of the food chain just to eat grass.

In seriousness though if your concern is eating healthy, there's plenty of ways to live a healthy, fun, omnivorous lifestyle. I just couldn't imagine giving up steak. Or bacon. Sweet, sweet bacon.

It was a great documentary and the fact is that vegans live longer. However I like Sheila black have up the sweet tasty bacon for ethical reasons. Pigs are so sweet and smart and they are raised then slaughtered in horrific conditions and ways. They say humans taste like pig. That's why it's called long pig. I won't be eating that either!

If you were allowed to eat chicken, cheese and fish I would make a very good vegan.

I find it hard to believe that a vegan diet can be that healthy for you

Different studies produce different results, for example, bad plant food includes gluten, soya (in excess) , brassica (in excess), fibre (yes, in excess), nuts ( unsoaked, in excess), high sugar fruits ( also in excess).

Bad meat products include deli style meats using nitrite preservatives, excess red meat, excess tuna.

Comparing vegan with carnivore, vegan is better. But comparing vegan with a well thought out omnivorous diet, omnivore is better.

    You're grand!

Often wondered & not meaning to be racist but if a Jew or a Muslim smell bacon cooking do they like the smell or find it disgusting?

Do me a favour. Go to your bathroom. Open your mouth wide and look in the mirror. See them white things inside your mouth? They're your teeth ya? There's 4 in particular I want you to pay attention to. 2 on the top, 2 on the bottom; 1 left and 1 right. They're called incisors. They're for cutting meat. If humans were meant to be herbivores then we wouldn't have evolved with incisors. We've been omnivorous for god knows how many millions of years. Our closest living relatives, chimpanzees. Also omnivorous.

Anyone who leads a primarily carnivorous lifestyle deserves to die early. Our bodies aren't meant for large quantities of meat. Let them off and let Darwin's theory take hold again.
