The monkeys came down from the trees, for a burger.

There is a theory that the development of our large brains may have been aided by our ancestors semi meat based diets.
As well as providing nutrients, meat is more energy rich than plant foods-always a help when powering an organ(brain) that, though only making up 2per cent of our body weight, needs 20 percent of the energy we get from our food.

    Oops that should be 30%!!
It was a fascinating to hear about this on the BBc documentary . I could 6 days a week, but sea food is a must.

Dancing is also the best form of exercise. So your spontaneous jigs are acceptable and very nessasery.

Yes I watched the program as well. I am already vegetarian but I do eat eggs and fish and the odd ice cream. I eat raw as much as i can. The nutri bullet I travel with makes it easier.
I gave up meat because I don't want animals to die to feed me anymore. The health attributes are just a bonus.
It is a fact not an opinion that vegans love longer than carnivores.

You have not had my Pie ! Bacon is tasty but pigs are so sweet and smart. It's not right to eat them because they are ' tasty'
Long pig is meant to be very succulent. But I wont be trying it. Ever

The reason vegans live longer that carnivores, is probably more related to lifestyle than diet imo.
The vegans I know grow much of their own food, spend much of their time in their gardens, nice healthy exercise (work), and are less likely to be involved in a road traffic accident. Also as much of their food is eaten raw, they are probably less likely to be killed in a house fire.
My wife caught me wearing ladies underwear and threatened to leave me.
So I packed up all her clothes
    And left.

Just been listening, on radio, to the C. E. O. of the Vegan Society of Britain.
Bit like the Ruhama person I heard earlier, she stayed on message throughout, a true zealot.
The message-four legs bad, two sticks of celery good.
Veganism is a panacea for the world, it could even help to slow global warming (the cows are belching methane, doncha know).
Perhaps if the vegans really wanted to help the world, they would get out of gas guzzling cars, stop buying water in plastic bottles, take fewer long haul holidays, buy fewer clothes and knick knacks that may get little use, stop leaving their electrical devices(computers, televisions, whatever) on standby overnight, wait a little longer before buying the next i-phone whatever, etc, etc, etc,
