Shalom/salaam.
10,000 years of Middle Eastern civilisation and the place is not at peace but rather in pieces.
True but if you were screwing someone while in a relationship or married and you are being blackmailed it might look
more attractive to pay up and hope they go away , even though thinking logically we know they wont, but I can see
why it might drive someone over the edge.

Someone tried this on me - luckily I figured it was dodgy and didn't give away details or expose myself!!!
1) They contact you via online dating (or web chat type sites)
2) They ask for your skype address. try to get Facebook etc. details
3) Video call on Skype, with some taped video on their part. Try to get you to expose yourself, and record the video.
4) Extortion tactics start, asking for money etc. They have leverage if they have your Facebook friend list.
See the Skype forums for more detail : http://community.skype.com/t5/Securi...e/td-p/1981015

a calculated guess would be on par with what lastman said. they tell you to start doing stuff and they record it and threaten to send it to your family or put it on a porn site.
i have my webcam covered with black tape cause their was a virus going around that could record you without you realizing it
