    Get ready for Kerry.
Heard a vague rumour thar Michael Healy-Rea might have been offered a ministerial post(rural affairs) to support a minority Fine Gael government - if they ever cobble something together.

Do what most irish blokes do when speaking to a non irish person on the phone. . SHOUT.. works every time :d
Some people have to have the last word,
but they don't actually want you to stop talking,
as they like the sound of their own voices too much.

How *varied* are the accents over Ireland?
English is not my first language and I am wondering how much of a problem it could be to talk over the phone with someone that has a non-Dublin/more "international" accent

    Who says that?

I am not a Northsider — but I honestly don't think it is in anyway hard to understand!

So you reckon the Dublin Northside accent is the most difficult accent to understand in Ireland?

You might possibly have some difficulty with strong Kerry, Cork or Northern Ireland accents.
The best thing to do in that case is to say-please could you slow down, I didn't study Culchie language at school. Guaranteed to solve any communication problems one might encounter in Ireland!

excellent video. Not as good as Nial Tobin who used to do a show with all 32 counties, even splitting cavn monaghan and louth.

My vote still goes to west cork/kerry it is impossible.
