    Default Emm!!

    So....

My phone has now resorted to telling me how long it would take me to drive "back home".....

Problem is.....I can't argue with its projected timescales, it seems very accurate!

    My question is......????
How does it know this shit???? LOL!

Location needs to be turned off at certain times for privacy.
Gadgets are too invasive and privacy is gone.
    Sat Nav history too.

I received a text from a friend telling me there was a hold up on the M50 and I should leave earlier if going to the airport.
A minute later my phone suggested an alternative route for going to the airport.
I'm convinced a computer somewhere is reading my texts

In your phone settings there should be an option to turn off your GPS The problem is every time you go to use certain apps like maps and facebook it will prompt you to turn on the location service, and then it seems it stays on. There should be an option for this to be just used while using certain apps. It's a killer on the battery.

Not so much your computer but your software google etc. reads your texts and your emails.
Your smartphone also "monitors" your activity to "suggest" things to "improve your smartphone experience".

Because there is so much activity on both the internet and on phone networks we just disapear into the general chatter and usually there is not problem.
But occasionally you could get caught out.

Is your smartphone listening to you?

Real “tinfoil-hat" stuff from the BBC.

Could something "listen in" at will without it being obvious?
...............................................the answer was a resounding yes.
