    It,s just a suggestion and not to be set in stone.
    It,s just to stop an argument getting out of hand.
    As I said a temp ban or locking the thread until the morning and let the mods then to decide what action to take.
    Let them unlock the thread again and maybe give out a warning to the two involved and unban them or if they feel extend the ban for a week or so.
    If they then feel the person who is modding at night is not impartial then take the job off them.
    Use it as a trial for a while and if it,s not working then suspend it.
