Now, that one statement is both interesting and at the same revealing.

I would say that Mr West has finally found his reason to be on this site.
West has struggled for a long time to rationlise his reasons for spending so much time on here, hence his constant coming and going, but now, by being a mod, he has that reason.
And he can say to himself that it is a noble reason
"because my people need me"
I would also say that West has long been searching for something in life. He's never been sure quite what.
Something from his past has created a deeply unsettling void.
His current employment does not fulfil him, either intellectually or emotionally and E-I goes a little way to fullfilling his needs.
E-I (and this is true for many of us, to lesser or higher degrees)
stimulates intellectually and emotionally as well as sexually.
E-I offers debate, the company of both males and females, who by being unseen, are based and judged soley on their minds, rather than their looks (Although obviously the girls have their pics up, but then they can show more depth than looks by posting here)
Humour, learning, conflict and good old fashioned smut and much more.
Been a little shy all your life? well on here you can overcome that somewhat and finally talk to the beautiful woman who you wouldnt normally have the courage too for example.
And by offering all this, people become more and more drawn to it, spending increasingly large amounts of time here.
This is wrongly, I think, often misinterpreted as wrong and sad. But is it really any worse than chasing a small round ball around a golf course for 4 hours or watching eastenders.
At least people are interacting. Its all too easy for people in todays modern society, to not have any human interaction, you can go a whole day or week without having to speak to anyone - shop online, stay indoors watch tele and never speak to anyone.

E-I is good for you. But like all things, if you take it to the extreme, it can bite you, and West, I think it is has bitten you and you need a fresh challenge, because what you seek is just not here my friend. Do you really want to spend your free time, editing our driviel?

It is a blatant abuse of moderating power.

Arrrh now in my "Ricki Lake" mode, (Although obviously I have much better tits)
I would say that Bigpaws is a strange cross of Victor Meldrew with a human rights campaigner and the maverick cop
He just LOVES a good crusade, does our Mr Paws.
Perhaps he always wanted to be a policeman or a traindriver but got turned down (too short? Cap didnt fit?)
He's never happier than when he can right a wrong, or take on "The Establishment"
He is certainly no sheep, is our Mr Paws, instead he is the angry crow buzzing around, getting in your face, flapping his wings, demanding to be heard "for the little people"

He fights for us, for freedom of speech, rip off escorts, half empty crisp bags.
He counts the number of smarties in a tube, the size of the tube and compares it to how it used to be. Wherever and whenever there is an injustice, (real or perceived), he rolls up his sleeves and fearlessly dives in, he takes it on the chin for us ordianry folk, against the high and mighty faceless corporations.

Fight on crusader, fight on.. for I fear your work will never be done
