Escorts who were sharing were easy targets and still are, there was a case a while back where 2 young ladies got jail because they were sharing a house and any client found on premises could have been in trouble too when raided, this is the present though... Under New law, clients have alot at risk depending on their situation and so does the escort. Laura's hearing coming this month i think so lets hope it goes well in NI as this new law makes no sense

Not good situation to be in.
Absolutely, not a good situation to be in, but still there is a lot of difference between being called as a witness and put on trial as a criminal! And you were all consenting adults acting in private!
BTW, The pigs will never call anybody as a witness if they think your evidence will be unreliable!

It's true some people can't see beyond the criminalisation of clients, but anybody who does a little bit of research themselves will see that it's really an attack on the 'oldest

    profession' by other means.

And the sad fact is that the Nordic Model gets enacted because of that bigotry and the apathy of people who sense the twisted morality of it but are too apathetic to object. And if I

weren't a client I would be the same. As you said, you are the faceless ones and you can't fight for your basic human rights because to do so would mean exposing yourselves to

society. That is also true of clients. If the new law is enforced then clients will be fined and exposed, but sex workers will face much greater dangers - not only from the law - but also

from those who wish to exploit, rob, rape and possibly even murder them. As far as I can see convicted criminals in prison will have more protection under the law than sex workers.

My opinion of this policy is coloured by my experiences as a client, but the main reason I'm against it is because it is utterly wrong to marginalise a group in society by law.

And that - clearly - is what they are doing.

true and that is why the new law if passed will put a lot of good decent clients from visiting but in the current state being called as a witness can be nearly as bad, I was actually in court to witness a few of these and its not a private affair and word of mouth can spread quickly. Usually if caught on the premises your details are taken but hear no more on it but there are some that are called depending on how serious it is

I guess that really reinforces the importance of finding yourself a good Independent where you know this can't happen.

The Irish Independent or The Independent (of London)
1st one has a big online presence, presume the second has also.
Always happy to help my fellow punters with recommendations.

Fraid in the South these days you'll have to pay around the 250 mark for a genuine Irish Independent. Must be the effect of these new laws.
    (250 cents that is.)
