All the President can do is refer it to the Supreme Court to see if it in line with the constitution usually after having consulted with his council of StateThe Supreme Courts justice's job is (in theory anyway) to declare it constitutional or not, whatever their personal opimions might be.
If the Supreme Court sent it back as being in line witb the constitution, Norris would have to sign it into law or resign.
As well, once a bill has passed the Dail it can only be delayed by the Seanad, where amendments can be tabled. These will usually be ignored unless the Senator is a prominent member of whatever is in power.

Yes happy punting everyone and lets be thankful for this reprieve short lived and all as it may be. Just remember there is an election and you have a vote. In most cases it does not prove to be significant but sometimes under our system the last seat can come down to a handful of votes. It may be possible if we organise a campaign to influence the result in a small number of situations. Which in turn could have implications for the composition of the next administration and may just result, in at least a partial rethink, of this reprehensible bill.

Making assumptions isn't really helpful to anyone, which was my original point. Some of us are more interested in what is going on that others, it's as simple as that.

Looks like we have a reprieve anyway, so time to have some fun instead for a while!
There are private places on these forums where someone can give us updates if they chose to. Most escorts live a happy or unhappy life outside escorting and they won’t stay online more than necessary in their escort capacity (not me anyway). A few threads, a few PMs and that’s it. If SWAI wanted escorts informed they could have posted one more link in private, they do have access there anyway.

Anyhow, the thing is I really don’t see the logic why on a thread made my EI members you’re saying you can’t rely on updates from EI members?

“They don’t have bread? Let them eat cake” comes to mind when reading your post on this thread where you asked how come those escorts don’t have twitter accounts to read from SWAI directly. Just think about the knowledge, the English levels and the work condition of probably 70% of the escorts here.

Yes, I stick to the opinion that Escort Ireland could have provided updates if they wanted to, there is a tonne of information on this site, even fucking confessions or kissograms links, so why not serious updates?

I personally have no problem relying on this forum for industry news. All updates given here have proven accurate, some people really have a passion and understanding for politics, it’s just another source of information, one more accessible to someone like me who simply is not into politics.

On a different note I am fucking happy that there is more time until the new law will be again discussed. As naive as it sounds, I do hope I can at least finish 2 year in college before they make dramatic changes like these. And if they chose to forget at all about the law I'll be even happier.

OK so, time to have a glass of something to celebrate.

Council of state also. Discretionary power of Pres to check if any bill contravenes constitution.

Worth checking out what the proposed Bill stated and what SWAI recommend should be in the proposed Bill :

As president his scope for not signing it would be quite limited

    But we'll see in time.
I doubt it. business permanently declining to a serious point I mean. Forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest. #Sweden
What if "It's Raining Men" and 'Let the bodies hit the floor' are both about the same event but from different perspectives 🤔
