I hate to sound harsh, but if this is true you have no one to blame but yourself and if your relationship mattered so much to you. Why were you seeing sex workers for several years? Did he ever think straight? Keeping photo's of a himself and a sex worker back from 2012 on his punting phone? I thought the idea of a punting phone was to make bookings and then delete the evidence? I didn't realise guys were using them to flirt and build friendships and relationships on them? I mean, why even bother having a punting phone if you're going to use it in that way? That's my word of advice. That's not even a case of 'slipping' and 'getting' careless. That's taking no precaution at all.
I just can't help feel a bit angry that he let his wife go through not just finding the phone, but the content. Her life must have been ripped apart seeing all that. At least if he had kept the phone cleared after each booking she would have only seen one or two messages and could have said he did it as a one off.
I'd like to think that the rest of you are more careful than this, but I'm guessing not by the reactions and sympathy being given.
