Just been reading on here where a few Escorts are looking forward to the new law to coming in here, I don't understand their reasons as not only will it affect us clients but will change the lives of other young foreign here in a very bad way.

I think they believe they can increase their prices.
They believe their business as the safer option will flourish while unreviewed ladies will be so badly affected they will leave for home.
Personally I will return to agencies I know and trust to look for referrals to other agency girls.
This way I hope to continue to review new ladies
My heart really isn't in visiting the same lady over and over.
I do so at times but there is a thrill to meeting someone new. I just hope that someone isn't a Garda

Seriously? The new law in Ireland also increases the charges for being caught working with someone, so 2 or more under the same roof will be hit a lot harder if caught. The only way to work safer is to work alone and see less clients, which has a huge financial impact and risk to safety on us as sex workers. Why do you guys insist on only seeing the story from one perspective?

I think if the government can open shooting up rooms for drug addicts they should consider providing escorts for me.
I visit an escort usually 4 times a week. I think it could be argued I am an addict.
Yes but they are increasing the consequences, so the risk of being caught doing this illegal act is greater than it currently is in the South. This means that sex workers are going to be harder hit. Also, if we are charging more because we are working safely for you then we need a smaller foot fall and to be even more discreet, otherwise how can we justify saying we are safer for you to visit? In order to make the risk lighter for you, these are the kind of measures needed to be taken. It is no longer a matter of considering what is good for us, but also having to consider what is good for our clients.
Many Independent sex workers share and as such in the eyes of the law they are not independent. The fact that they don't work for anyone and no one else gets a cut of their money doesn't matter. The law is always open to manipulation.

Not necessarily, Kate has a point that perhaps it could be argued she won't fuck you over as quickly as a young foreign girl would.
Gardai wouldn't lean on her as successfully as they might with someone new to this country.
Especially someone used to a corrupt police force, someone who might fear the police more
