Patrick Reed held on to win his first Major tournament although Spieth and Fowler had their chances. Rory had a poor final round and. after the second hole, was never really in contention. Apparently Reed has a bad boy reputation in the golfing world and is not the most popular of characters.

Us open starts on thursday, whose going to win it? Brooks koepka is the defending champion, will he keep his title. Whose everyone backing?

Hard to predict a winner. Dustin Johnson played very well to win in Tennessee yesterday so is coming into form at the right time. Rory McIllroy, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Patrick Reed and maybe 6 or 7 others could all win it. If there is to be another first time Major champion then Rickie Fowler or Jon Rahm might be worth backing. Fowler has come close to winning a Major over the last 5 or 6 years so maybe this will be his time.

In Belgium last week the had a shot clock 40 sec a shot.

After his disastrous round today Rory will have to shoot a very low round tomorrow or else he will not be around for the weekend. Jordan Spieth also has a lot of work to do to make the cut so that's two of the favourites out of contention already.

Yes, the question has to be asked: Is McIllroy past his best? It`s now almost four years since he won his last Major and on his current form I can`t see him winning another one any time soon. Sad to see him struggling.

I agree and that's why i put a when I said I backed him as he is playing poorly but still
he is capable of beating anyone if he comes back to anywhere near his best.
I think he will win again but more than likely it will be when I have stopped backing him..
Must be married life as he is gone to shite since he tied the Knot eventually
