Not good news for McIlroy with the Open Championship less than a week away. McDowell failed to make the cut as well. Harrington did get through and is currently at -6 halfway through his 3rd round.

Westwood is the current Scottish Open leader at -14 after 9 holes of the 3rd round.

After the 3rd round of the Scottish Open, Matthew Fitzpatrick and Thomas Detry are co leaders at-14. Jon Rahm is at -13 and new Irish Open champion Lucas Herbert is at-12. Could Herbert be in with a chance of back to back European tour wins? Padraig Harrington is having a very good tournament and is tied for 8th place at -10.

Thomas Detry is looking for he 1st win, Lucas Herbert was 33/1 for the Irish open, He was 55/1 this week.

Matsuyama and Wolff, Sungjae Im and Si-Woo Kim , K.H. Lee and Danny Lee also Kevin Na withdraw from British Open.
