At the end of the 2nd round on a day when the Winged Foot course showed its teeth Patrick Reed leads by 1 shot on -4 from Bryson DeChambeau. Justin Thomas, Rafael Cabrera Bello and Harris English are all on -2. Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry both make the cut but they are well down the field on 3 over and 6 over respectively. However Graeme McDowell and James Sugrue will not be around for the weekend nor will a lot of big names including Tiger Woods, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Jordan Spieth and the 2019 champion Gary Woodland.
    The Truth is out there.

I'd say the course will be easier tomorrow. Wonder who will come out on top. Think dj could go low. But I think JT is still solid. Reed is solid too and Bryson is playing well but can he maintain it.

Really enjoying it so far. Very hard course indeed, imagine a club player playing it , you need 24 golf balls in the bag!

Few interesting players at big odds that are just 2 over Webb Simpson 40/1 , Tony Finau 50/1, Viktor Hovland 80/1.

A much better round for McIlroy today. His score of 68 moves him to +1. A bad day though for Shane Lowry. He shot a 77 which drops him to +13 and near the bottom of the halfway cut survivors. Matthew Wolff and Patrick Reed are currently joint leaders on -5.

Double bogey for Patrick Reed , brings him back to 2 under
Matthew Woulf now 3 clear on 5 under

Rory still in with a slim chance of winning, pity he didn’t have a slightly better second round
