Big move up the leaderboard from McIilroy today. He shot a round of 67 and is currently in a tie for 3rd place at -3. Russelll Henley has a 1 shot lead at -5 halfway through his 3rd round. Dustin Johnson also had a good round and has moved up to -1. Paul Casey and Ian Poulter have both moved up to level par after their rounds today.

Not before time it has to be said. Anyway still plenty of golf to be played between now and when the final putt is holed tomorrow night.

Rahm was a bit unlucky ball under the lip of bunker double bogey at 14th . Rory chipping off the green , Bryson Dechambeau missed few putts , Louis Oosthuizen 52-foot eagle putt on 18th is now fav at 10/3. Fine margins in golf I think 1 under players still have a chance.

I think anyone on level par or better has a very good chance of winning the tournament. McIlroy will be looking to end his Majors drought and claim his 2nd US Open title 10 years after winning his 1st one. Will he do it though?

Oosthuizen has been in contention in the final few holes of a number of Majors in his career but only has the 2010 Open Championship to his name. Could he win the tournament this time around?

A bad final round of 79 for Shane Lowry today. He finishes the US Open at +13 with only 4 golfers lower placed than him. Hopefully he will have another upturn in form with the Irish Open and then the Open Championship both coming up in the next few weeks.

Birdie for Mcilroy on the 4th hole. He moves to -4 and is now just a shot behind the joint leaders Oosthuizen and Henley.

DeChambeau moves to -4 after a birdie on the 5th. Could the defending champion win back to back US Opens?
