Some people need to manage and lower their expectations. Our Mr Fawlty, our complaints manager, is an expert on such matters.........

Now I'll bring in the "Nuclear" Option. Open up a new tab in your browser and type "oxytocin". It is a hormone released during sex (other times too!) and acts to create a powerful bond between people (often called "the love hormone" and is not connected to "the force" in Star Wars). More sex equals more Oxytocin and greater connection (to make babies, etc.). Nothing we can do about this and one of the reasons EI is so popular. We are all victims of hormones, suck it up!!
Oxytocin is more involved in formation of pair bonds between couples.
Probably not what is going on that much on EI.
Yes hormones are involved but you may be barking up thewrong tree with oxytocin.
Oxytocin also is released in childbirth, where it promotes strong uterine contractions.
It is also the hormone that promotes milk let down (into the udder) in cows upon being stimulated by their calf.
Probably similar in other females.

It is impossible to get on with everyone, just because i get sex and you get my cash does not mean both parties are happy.
I think 'click' means enjoying eachothers company on more than a sexual level.

This is the point.
There are very professional escorts, do everything as expected, but there is no spark and the thing is a little flat, People respond to each other differently, escorts to clients, clients to escorts, one size does not fit all.
Larri above and others in the past have mentioned how the 2nd and subsequent appointments can be better than first time, the opposite is also possible, first time good, second time ho-hum.
