Not bad Tom, not bad at all. And while your question is relevant a more pertinent one would be why do we spend so much time and effort endlessly avoiding our fears instead of facing them?
I saw a movie recently, can't remember it. I just remember one of the characters arguing that humans descended from two types of monkey, the chimp and the bonobo. The chimp is the more aggressive one, easily riled, unforgiving. The bonobo will happily sit by itself all day, or huddle together in groups, spending all their time fucking. The lover and the fighter.
I guess this planet is only big enough for one monkey
It was a shit movie by the way.

The power of humanity is in keeping the huddled masses together.
Strenght through numbers and keeping large groups of males together, generally peacefully, is what has allowed the obsenity of Seven billion humans and rising.
The strength of humans has always been in numbers and banding together.
And even more than intellectuals we always need farmers and bricklayers.
And the strength of humans is also that seemingly Mickey Mouse males usually leave offspring.
They might not be the next Plato or Magic Johnson but perhaps they carry the genetics to resist the next great pandemic.
Genetic diversity, also a strength for humans.

"without the vomiting pissing masses" I 100 % agree, no place for them in my world
But leaving the world to the intellect only, I beg to differ
", Sexy, adventurous , explorative , daring , insightful , intuitive , daring" yes making the world a better place
That,s me all summed up in one

We are in between chimps and bonobos.
Bonobos tend to be steered/manipulated/controlled by adult females.
Chimp groups are dominated by one big bruiser of a male.
He may have to build alliances to get to the top(an helps being born to a high ranking female) but rules by brute force and domination, until eventually age and a younger cballenger unseat him.
Chimps btw hunt, kill and eat monkeys when they can and will engage in something you could call tribal warfare, with neighbouring groups in territorial disputes.
