Been plenty of times, you'll love it. Dress smartly, smell nice, spend money but don't flash it and smile. They'll be all over you, just treat them with respect as some are really nice girls.

What would any sane person rent a moped for?Make sure your personal belongings (passport, papers/ money) are locked up in a safe when taking girls back to your hotel.
Always watch your drink in case they decide to spike you.
Use your common sense basically.
Oh and rent a moped, you'll be lost without one.

Amazing country.
You can rent a car and driver for next to nothing.
Girls start at €10 per day but get rapidly more expensive in the wrong places.
Walking Street has been cleaned up but is still a kip.
Pattaya is one of the shittiest places in Thailand
Dusit isn't the worst place to stay.
It's not really 5 star but the service is
Very tolerant of bringing in girlfriends and great breakfast.
There is a 4 day tour to Bangkok
Stay in the Watergate, it's relatively cheap and the restaurant is exceptional

No need to rent a moped, there are moto taxis everywhere unless you are wanting to explore outside of Pattaya. If you are in reasonable health you could walk to most places in Pattaya anyway.
As for spiked drinks, been 12 times, never seen it happening nor have I had anything stolen from myself. Not saying it doesn't happen but usually the people that are drugged or robbed are people that are too pissed up to notice.
Wits about you and don't dander down the dark alleys or beach road at night as the ladyboys like to rob drunk people in these areas. On the subject of ladyboys, don't get all annoyed or aggressive if they approach you, some can be quite forceful trying to get your attention. Just smile and say no thanks or maow krap, usually they'll be ok and back off.
