The way I see it, having a punter as a MOD is like an escort having a punter as boyfriend - its doomed from all sorts of levels, but mainly trust!

And as you know Anna, Pat could quite easily insist on ONE user name only.
Its quite common for potential new board members to have to submit their desired user name and it only gets created if the board boss agrees, so it will stop all the silly and multiple names. One username - one ip address

Just think how much work it must be having so many usernames - talk about split personality and NO life!

I don't understand why bbj wanted to become a mod under a different profile most people were unaware until I raised it here that bbj was pats bodyguard to me it is dishonest

Lizs post earlier where she is still maintaining that bbj and pats bodyguard are not the same person makes me even more suspicious

I have already shown that bbj used different profiles to back himself up in an argument despite his claim that he only use them for comedy

And despite numerous requests he still has not given a full list of all his profiles so what is he hiding

tried it myself and you cant delete, so cal didnt do it. However i see every deleted thread, it comes up blue. so why would i delete a thread that i belive can be seen anyway by the patricia? why would i delete a thread that can be retyped anyway? I have no problem with moderators, heck this site needs them at times, I don't really know BBJ as I have always considered him a flash in the pan kinda guy (no offence intended) and I don't intend to research him either so I cannot comment on whether he will be a good or bad mod but I definetly think that all his other identitiies should be removed as how can he or any other future mod be taken seriously if they are seen as a jack the lad. I also think he should have moderator title and not be listed as a "Registered User."
I also think that people are taking these boards WAY too seriously, it's a forum on an escort site, not life or death stuff, my post being edited or BBJ becoming a mod ain't going to effect me or my personal life so i say mod away, sorry lads but I really don't envy Patricia's job, it's like a kindergarden in here sometimes except the kids remember that little johnny only got sent to the corner for being bold so why did little peter get sent home.
We all know who the A H's are and we all know who the sensible contributors are so why get upset when one of the A H's calls us names, like a previous post it's in the scorpians nature so why expect any different.
I don't agree with what happened to the girls but lets face it, people have always stabbed each other in the back, it can be in our nature especially in this line of work so why expect any different, I guarantee it has happened to several of the girls on here but they accept it is part and parcel and move on (at least untill they can get there own back that is) so why are we that can do F'all getting so rattled about it, the girls are big enough to look after themselves and I'm sure will get there own someday!!

I hear that many don't think we should have Community Mods, but what is the alternative?

I am already generally on this forum for several hours a day every day and this isn't enough. I can't do more. Sorry folks but I'm not going to put myself in an early grave by living on this site 24/7/365.

I could try to hire staff to be moderators, but to be honest it is bloody hard to get staff for this type of thing. Finding staff to clean our office, answer our phones, update profiles, do accounts etc is one thing... Finding staff to moderate boards is another, because it requires a lot of understanding of this industry and judgement that doesn't just come naturally to Jane Bloggs who comes to work for us. I honestly can't find staff that would make good moderators and this is an ongoing problem. Even Sarah, who has been working with me for years and does come on these boards often, tells me this is the one part of her job she feels she can never do right.

I honestly think community moderators could work well here. Almost all large online communities do have community moderators. For those that don't think Community Mods is the way forward here, what is the alternative? Regards why pat's bodyguard, well because he wanted to give this a shot and I think he deserves a shot. I've apprached numerous others about being Community Mods but they haven't been interested. I think you are all actually being very hard on our first Community Mod, it is no wonder nobody else is interested.

Your post actually partially proves your point Anon .................. BBJ is listed as "Community Moderator" but only on one of his many usernames, ie. "Pats Bodyguard".

"Comedy Usernames" would not be a huge problem if that's all they were used for but the fact is they are also used to monitor other posters in the Chat Room, they are used to unneccessarily abuse other posters, they are used to break rules (I did this myself to prove a point) without being punished, they are used to influence the outcome of polls as demonstrated by HighWayMan for example when he registered an untold amount of usernames in order to actually vote himself as a Community Moderator!!!

Yes it's true that posters on here will always "have a go" at eachother fairly or not but I think we all rely on Patricia to moderate such behaviour fairly ................ there was a time when everybody knew were they stood with Patricia, we knew her limits, she was always upfront and straight but those days are over ................ she is now irrational, unpredictable, biased and blatantly unfair in her handling of these boards.
She once had rules which could be bent slightly but not outright broken without consequence ............... she now moulds any new rules she makes to fit her warped view of right and wrong.
She no longer accepts or deals with criticism ............ in short she has let herself down and continues to do so on a daily basis with her nonsensical and dismissive replies to posters genuine concerns.
